Our volunteer roles are now organized into team-based pathways—each with a clear focus

area and leadership support. Whether you're skilled in finance, love event planning,

or want to mentor families, there’s a place for you here.

Each team is led by a staff or board member and a volunteer, and

offers hands-on ways to serve with purpose.

🎉 Fundraising Team

Led by: Board Rep, Team Lead, and Executive Director
Focus: Donor engagement, events, and creative fundraising
Meeting Commitment: Bimonthly
Volunteer Opportunities:​

  • Plan or support events like Give & Gather

  • Promote fundraising campaigns

  • Assist with donor outreach

  • Proofread grants or research opportunities

⚙️ Executive Team

Led by: Executive Director, Team Lead, and Board Rep

Focus: Organizational planning, HR, policy, IT, and cross-team coordination

Meeting Commitment: Quarterly Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Assist with meeting prep and follow-up

  • Provide feedback on strategic plans

  • Support IT needs, policy editing, or HR tasks

  • Help coordinate cross-team projects

💰 Finance Team

​Led by: Treasurer, Team Lead, and Executive Director
Focus: Budget planning, donation tracking, and financial systems
Meeting Commitment: Quarterly
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Track in-kind donations

  • Support QuickBooks entry or reconciliation

  • Help prepare financial reports

  • Assist with yearly budget analysis (ideal for those with finance backgrounds)

🌟 Advisory Board

​Led by: Retired or active board member
Focus: Strategy, board development, and recruitment
Meeting Commitment: Quarterly
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Conduct board self-assessments

  • Recruit or screen potential new board members

  • Mentor board or team members

  • Share professional connections and resources

  • Review bylaws or committee structures

🤝 Resident Services Team

​​Led by: Support Coordinator and Board Rep

Focus: Mentorship, enrichment, transportation, and direct support for residents
Meeting Commitment: Biweekly
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Serve as a Family Coach or mentor

  • Drive residents to appointments

  • Help with housing referrals or placement

  • Tutor or mentor children

  • Teach life skills or wellness classes

🛠️ Facilities Team

Focus: Grounds care, beautification, and capital projects
Meeting Commitment: Quarterly
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Join yard work or landscaping days

  • Paint or do light repairs

  • Help with special project builds

  • Pick up or haul donations

  • Drive residents to appointments

🧭 Board of Directors

Focus: Oversight, governance, and organizational leadership
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Attend monthly board meetings

  • Serve as a team leader

  • Support strategic planning and fundraising

🌍 Community Alliance Team

Focus: Outreach, visibility, and community partnerships
Meeting Commitment: Bimonthly
Volunteer Opportunities:

  • Represent Hope House at community events

  • Drop off flyers or post on local boards

  • Support newsletter or media content

  • Coordinate donation drives at local businesses
